Midnight Star Quilt and Washington DC

I have finished my Midnight Star Doll quill, well sort of finished. Too much coffee makes me very hipper; and I could not finish the binding before taking the picture. I also realized that my checkers game matches the colors of the quilt really well.  The game set is from Brazil. It is based on a folklore story called "Bumba meu Boy." The quilt is 22 inches square. I really like it.

This good looking family in front of the White House in Washington, DC is my sister and family. They came from a hot summer in Brazil and  were here for 10 days. Enjoying the very cold weather in DC (?) We could not visit the White House. The Chinese President was in town and all tours were canceled. We will have to save the tour for another visit.
