Now I Know My ABC’s
These are my new alpha-clips. I am loving them.
The blue chicken patterns are found on the Youtube channel: Blue Rooster Farm. She is very generous and share it for free. She also has patterns with acorns and strawberries.
You have to watch the video for the Blue Rooster Pattern all the way to about 1 hour into it to get the QRCode to download the page.
I bought these "self adhesive clips tapestry" on Amazon. They are about 1 inch square. I did print my chicken pattern at 70% and they fit perfetly.
Before I cut the paper squares, I covered the whole sheet of paper with "contact paper", to prevent pins and needles to scratch the printed paper.

Family dinner time
My window bird feeder has been busy in April.
But now I took it down until Fall.
I have kept the other feeder (seen in the back).
I am following directions to prevent spreading of bird flu. I do wash and clean the feeders every week; but these feeders where the birds can get inside could spread diseases.

Game On BOM 2026
This past weekend, I started the block of the month (BOM) that the quilt show is doing for 2026. I have made several of the qults over the year.
The quilt parts are giving every month and it started in January 2026; but life has been happening fast and furious, so I just have started this center piece in April.
I am using a fat quarter bundle of "Gelato" by Maywood.
It is the second quilt I make using this ombre fabrics.
The center block shown here is made with patterns provided from January to March.
The pattern is designed for paper piecing but I made it cutting the pattern apart. I am not using paper piecing. I find it easier and less time consuming.
Now to month 4.

Gold and White Challenge
This quilt will be my entrance to the QGGH (Quilt Guild of Greater Houston) challenge for 2026.
The Guild is celebrating its Gold Jubilee and the challenge is to make a quilt with only white and gold in it.
I use the pattern from the book Gemology. It is all paper pieced using solid colors. It was not easy to find the gold colors. I would have preferred to have a few different ones; but I like it now.
The quilt is 55.5 inches square and quilted with a very difficult to use pale gold thread using an edge to edge design.
This was a challenge in so many ways. I learnt a lot by making this quilt.
I will not point out the problems; no use in doing that.
The stones represent the many cuts of the Topaz.
