Several years ago, Barbara Brackman had a post that showed a Lollipo Quilt that I loved. It was a red, green and white quilt.
I also had seen the amazing quilt that Kim McClean made with similar blocks using Kaffe's fabrics and a light background.
These quilts have been in my "to make someday list" for a long time.
Fast forward to recent cleaning up in my studio. I found a paper copy of the Lollipop quilt that Barbara had blogged about; and I had noted the blog date, so I could return to it.
It was too much to resist. So here I go with a new applique project and I am loving it.
More updates to come.
Cheers.Cissa Khttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09509962958040561928noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2357618981881547617.post-26427485011750040382024-01-17T17:00:00.000-06:002024-01-17T17:00:40.962-06:00Fruit Quilt <p class="mobile-photo"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEgPRf_HXPs4nt-YyAaYnWrFr_m1pHTG-mrT7fWU32cv1Mk16PeBAiT6Z8C54CUYrlXV5A78TCP1wkCWgvqjewfbPz60l_4Qciln-E-x6V_ENaI8gLZ0SYkCpp2eHeGGSlq2pJFFTyi4BTYItbRiwk7RyRKSjukrOvjuHVVL8DellwvYSBn_mSrBLllba80m"><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEgPRf_HXPs4nt-YyAaYnWrFr_m1pHTG-mrT7fWU32cv1Mk16PeBAiT6Z8C54CUYrlXV5A78TCP1wkCWgvqjewfbPz60l_4Qciln-E-x6V_ENaI8gLZ0SYkCpp2eHeGGSlq2pJFFTyi4BTYItbRiwk7RyRKSjukrOvjuHVVL8DellwvYSBn_mSrBLllba80m=s320" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_7323765240276069970" /></a></p>

My quilting bee is making this quilt for an auction to benefit the Quilt Guild of Greater Houston. These are the blocks that I have made. We are using solid fabrics and the same light background.
The auction will be in January of 2025. I did not write the date.</p><p class="mobile-photo">It is my only collage quilt using tacky glue and not a stabilizer like Steem a Seam. It is a pattern provided by Susan; but the fabrics are my own. My quilt is 23 inches by 31 inches. All fabrics are batiks.</p><p class="mobile-photo">I have not made another quilt like this. I am too compulsive and I still get out the glue and fix some of the raw edges from time to time.
