This lap size quilt was made from a kit provided by the QGGH guild for a charity quilt day in July. It was a lot of fun to get together and sew with guild friends. I added the 2 borders to make the quilt larger. It was quilted on a Bernina 780 embroidery hoop using a Amelie Scott design. Photo taken at the guild meeting when I delivered the quilt.

Fabric Post cards
I have made these post cards size mini quilts using batiks scraps.
The free handed cut pieces were glued to the back ground, using a school glue stick, just enough to hold them in place while I quilted the pieces to the background.
I did not use any stabilizer or did any sewing around the pieces themselves. It was something I wanted to try and see how it would work with the batiks.
I used a very narrow zig zag stitch around the border of the card.
It is very fulfilling to make them. I think I need to make more soon.

Quilt for the Sleep In Heavenly Peace
This quilt was made by the CPBee for the Sleep in Heavenly Peace Bee. It is a beautiful scrap quilt that will make a youngster feel warm inside and out.
Both Bees are part of the Quilt Guild of the Greater Houston.
The Saint John the Divine Church is sponsoring the construction of 50 beds and the SHP Bee will make the 50 quilts with a help from other generous groups and guild members pitching in to get to 50 sooner,
The beds and quilts will be donated in 2026.
