The Quilt Guild of the greater Houston, had it's show on January 17-18, 2025. I entered a few quilts and I was so surprised to see that 4 of them had received a ribbon.
Thank you all the guild members that worked so hard for the past 2 years to make the show a success.
Unfortunately, I was not able to attend.

A little late with these photos. Life is not always on time.
The 4 inches of snow that brought 6 million people to a stand still for 2 days.
This quilt top was made with some orphan blocks (previously made), and star blocks that can be found in the book "Barn Star Sampler" by Shelley Cavanna.
I had some blocks that I had made using fabrics from past Kaffe Fassett collections. They were not the same as the original quilt; but they were the correct size to be included on the outline of the original design.
I added more start blocks to be able to make parts B (28 1/2" X 56 1/2"); and C (56 1/2" X 48 1/2"), of the original quilt in the book.
When I finish the quilting, it will be donated to the Quilt Guild of the Greater Houston to the Comfort Quilts program. This program distribute quilts to the Houston area organizations.
I just finished the last applique stitch on this quilt top. I was so excited to put on my design wall that I couldn't even stop to iron...
